About The Serpent And The Lamb
Some things are meant to be held.
Folded open at midnight. Tucked between pages. Read slowly with rain at the window and something warm to sip nearby.
The Serpent and the Lamb began with a simple idea: to create a literary mail club paired with companion pieces of artwork, each one designed and illustrated by me to accompany that month’s letter.
The hope is for this to be something that is not rushed past on a screen or buried beneath algorithms, but instead something that asks us to slow down for a little while each month and enjoy the quiet.
I created this space out of a lifelong love for writing, an eagerness to grow my illustration skills, dark whimsy, well-loved books, and the strange comfort of receiving something meaningful in the mail.
For years, I dreamed of sharing stories in a way that felt immersive and tangible. Letters written from imagined worlds, paired with artwork and carefully chosen details meant to make each piece feel complete, as though it belongs to something larger waiting just beyond the page.
Every month begins with a story.
From there, each bookmark, sticker, envelope, and illustrated detail is created around that month’s atmosphere and voice, designed to feel cohesive, intentional, and worth keeping long after it arrives.
Just as important to me is keeping this project accessible and sustainable.
The club and shop were built carefully so they could remain affordable without sacrificing quality, ethical in the way shipping and pricing are handled, and realistic enough to continue growing for years to come. That means being transparent about costs, thoughtful about packaging, and creating systems that protect both the customer experience and the long-term health of the club itself.
This is a small business, and I intend to treat it with the care needed for it to thrive while still putting you, my literary friend, first.
Every order is designed, packed, assembled, and shipped by hand in small batches. Nothing here is mass produced or endlessly manufactured. The goal has never been to create clutter, only beautiful things for people who will treasure them.
